Vibrant and dark The Sleeplings
- a Danish prog-pop trio.
Guitar-driven and discretely led by the piano the compositions ranges from heavy and crooked to dreamy
and goth-tangling - and all along with a heart of haunting melodies.
Surely a traditional rock act, but with influences from southern gothic, psychedelic-pop and early 1900's
impressionism, it may very well take you someplace new.
First recordings came out in 2008 as the highly acclaimed mini-album “..for dare and farewell”.
Front man Jesper reinvented the band in 2015 as a trio comprising drummer Steen Lauridsen and jazz pianist Peter Just.
The "new" Sleeplings released their first full-length album "Elusive Lights of the Long-forgotten" in February 2017
And the short story goes:
Jesper Kragh on guitars, bass, vocals,
Steen Lauridsen on drums,
Peter Just on pianos, bass, celeste and FX
